• Do you ever feel alone, disconnected and frustrated?
  • Do you often feel a longing to be part of a community or want to belong somewhere?
  • Do you search for meaning and seek comfort in nature?

I used to feel all of the above. I find comfort, acceptance and love in nature. Then I developed a relationship with La Luna, the moon.

When I look up at the sky, the clouds, the stars, the sun and the moon I feel a sense of knowing and understanding.

I am not alone and neither are you.

Every month I celebrate the full moon like many of our ancestors in different cultures from all around the world.

Every 4 weeks or around 29 days I know the moon, La luna will be round and bright and full in the dark sky.

I look up at her and feel love. This is a constant. I know and can rely on this happening every month.

The full moon is such a great time for mindfulness which is the best way to feel connected and be present in the moment.

It is a time to connect with my soul as well.

It is a great time for forgiveness and gratitude.

I see it as a time to release, let go and reset. To take stock of the month that has passed.

It is a brilliant time to celebrate all your wins and feel gratitude for the lessons and the blessings.

Anything that doesn’t feel great, disappointments, anxiety, worries, anger, stresses or sadness you can just exhale them all out and blow them away. Let that go.

This act of letting go instead of holding a grudge or keeping pent up anger inside you to build up and up and up is important. It can manifest as pain otherwise. Physical, emotional, mental or energetic pain.

We can choose to not hold onto pain or the past and make a conscious decision to be in the present. In the now.

I love the following Hawaiian prayer.
Ho’oponopono:

I’m sorry
Please forgive me
Thank you
I love you

It is such a beautiful way to forgive others.
It is a wonderful way to forgive any situations.
It is an effective way to forgive yourself.

After writing down my list of things, people, situations to forgive and release I burn it!

Sometimes I do this alone or with my husband. We also like to say this prayer to each other. I forgive him for all the times he left his beard hair in the sink.

I stand outside if I can see the moon I look up and meditate on her beauty and light.

A sign of hope for the next month ahead. I might make a wish. My heart is full of gratitude and love.

After the releasing of negative or heavy emotions and forgiveness ritual it can be great to fill up your mind, body and soul with gratitude and love.

I make a list in my head or outloud, or write it down. A list of things I appreciate.

Tonight is the Libra full moon. The second one in a row and Libra is my sun sign. The focus is on harmony and balance in relationships.

It is a time for completion and integration of ideas, projects, achievements, plans and energy.

I will ask myself the following questions:

  • Am I balanced in my relationships?
  • Do I have clear boundaries around me?
  • How do I feel after I spent time with certain people. Energised or drained?
  • How is the current energy between me and my husband/ me and my children?
  • How can I invite more peace and harmony in those relationships?
  • Where in my life needs more balance?
  • How can I bring more beauty into my daily life? Libra is ruled by the planet of beauty, Venus.
  • What or who do I need to release and forgive and let go of this month?

Happy Libra full moon!
