|Do you celebrate every day?
Maybe on the weekend? Maybe once a month?
I like to find an excuse to celebrate anything and everything. I know it’s the key for me to feeling stellar every moment, every day.
It’s a habit I’ve created and practised and now it’s so normal to me I forget that not everyone lives life this way and that it may be a bit weird!
I think it helps that I share my home with 4 kids, and kids naturally live their days this way. Everything is a tea party, dance party, flood the bathroom foam party and we’re all invited (forced to join in!) So I am reminded to celebrate too.
New Moon Intentions
The new moon is when the moon can’t be seen in the night sky. She is also called the dark moon. Here in Sweden, we only have a few hours of night time now so this is actually the darkest part of the month too. The new moon phase lasts around 3 days.
It’s a great time to make a wish!
If you’re less magical, you can say it’s a great time to set a goal, make an intention, write down a plan.
Research shows that if we write down a goal or a plan, we are much more likely to achieve it.
This new moon is in the sign of Taurus. I have a Taurus baby myself (he was ill on his birthday bless him so we celebrated yesterday).
Taurus is the sign of the bull, a bit stubborn, steady, calm, loves his food, loves nature and gardening. Taurus people love the sensual side of life. She appreciates beauty especially when mixed together with those elements of nature, food (and sex)!
Do you have a Taurus babe in your life?
New Moon, new month, new intention, new theme
On this new moon, it’s a great time to set a goal or make a plan around money, wealth and abundance. A lot of people don’t like thinking or talking about these topics. I love talking about everything though! If I approach it with a positive attitude it’s easier to think and talk about even the more uncomfortable topics.
Money can also include donating to a charity that you support. I support Cancer research, the hospice my dad stayed in in London and also a children’s hospice, Ty Hafan in my hometown.
It could also be thinking about making a budget for the next month to free up some extra cash to donate, save or spend! Your money, your choice!
My new moon ritual this month goes something like this:
I focus on everything I have, the feeling of gratitude for all that I have, including the wealth that I have. I choose to feel wealthy. I have a roof over my head, food in my fridge, a garden I can sit in, clean water, healthy children…..
What about you? Do you feel wealthy too?
Once I make my little gratitude list I’m feeling stellar, and now is a perfect time to make a wish! (I’m more magical). I write it down (more likely to achieve it). It can be 1 wish or 10! The key is to set your intention in a mindset that is positive.
Where you’re more like this: I have so much of A. That feels so good, and I’d love more of A. I could do this to get A.
Not so much of this: I don’t have A (or B or C). That feel rubbish and I need more of A (and B and C). I’m so busy now thinking and feeling rubbish and focusing on all the stuff I don’t have that I can’t think clearly about my goal or how I can get there.
It’s much easier to think clearly and identify what you want and make a plan on how to achieve your goal if you’re feeling positive.
I do this every new moon and have done so for at least 3 years. They always come true 🙂 Sometimes by the next new moon in 4 weeks time. Sometimes in 6 months time.
Most importantly I have found it easier to identify my wants, my desires and I developed a greater, stronger self-belief and self-confidence that I can achieve my goals. It’s just another form of mindfulness. Another way to find a reason to celebrate!
What about you? Will you make a new moon wish (or set a goal)?
If you share yours with me I will share mine 🙂 Go on email Niomi: [email protected]
May all your wishes today and every day come true.
